The next sponsor of the week is imagine gnats, it’s a lovely little shop that’s well curated. And has recently started offering patterns as well as fabrics. So for today, to give you some inspiration, I paired some of the patterns currently offered with a selection of fabrics from the shop.
We all know a good basic comes in handy! So why not start with the City Park Tee by Hey June. Paired with a variety of different types of knits, you can create so many lovely variations. Like the slub on the right to give it lots of drape, or the cats on the left to give it intrigue with a pattern. Or even paired with a solid, you can then add some lovely details by stenciling or dyeing to take it up a notch!
And what about the Bimaa by LouBee Clothing, this pattern is both suitable for girls and boys, and with a wide variety of options (hood, shawl, collar) you can create a number of different bimaas without feeling like you’re repeating yourself! Use a textured knits, or a stripe and you’ve definitely got options. So many bimaas have popped up since the patterns release that you’ll find loads of inspiration if you’re out of ideas.
And finally, what about summery dresses? The Bedford by Brooklyn Pattern Co is just a classic. Use different types of substrates to give it different looks, like a classic chambray. Or maybe you’d prefer a modern voile like the yucca voile on the left, or possibly even a whimsical look with the From Porto quilting cotton in the middle?
There are so many lovely fabrics and patterns in this shop that you’d be hardpressed not to find something to suit your summer sewing needs! And now for the giveaway, imagine gnats is offering up a 50$ credit to one lucky winner, you just need to enter below.
