Hi everyone! It’s Audrey from Skirt Fixation again, and today I’m here to talk about style trends I noticed during Kids Clothes Week. Of course, the main summer clothing sewn was shorts and tank tops! It’s a kid’s summer uniform, right? So I’m going to skip over those two and highlight some more subtle style trends.
When we chose to put sleeves on the tops we made, many of us used raglan sleeves. I know I love both the look and the ease of construction on a raglan sleeve.
And of course, being that I have a Skirt Fixation, I noticed all the amazing skirts that were sewn up during summer Kids Clothes Week. I even made one during KCW myself, of course.
Although many of us have tried and true patterns and styles we turn to again and again, I did notice many newly released patterns being sewn. I think as seamstresses, we love a challenge in any form, and a new pattern keeps us challenged.
Being summer (at least in the Northern Hemisphere) many of you were venturing into the world of swimwear. Many kudos to you! I have actually purchased some swim fabric but haven’t braved that territory yet. But all your swimwear inspires me to try!
How about you, what style trends did you pick up on during Summer Kids Clothes Week 2015?
