Today’s shop is a brand new company specializing in patterns for girl’s clothes, Blaverry (don’t worry I would never forget the boys–they are up tomorrow). Blaverry is run by one women, Susie. The funny name comes from a combination of her 3 children’s names: Blayne, Gavin, and Ferry. I am very excited to introduce you to Susie and her beautiful patterns. Just when you think it’s all be done in the sewing world, up pops a new collection of patterns and suddenly you have to have each and every one! I’ll let Susie tell you a bit about her company to start:
BLAVERRY birthed from a personal desire to create highly fashionable clothing with unique style at an affordable cost. Currently each BLAVERRY pattern includes all sizes from 2t-16y (boys and adult patterns coming soon). Instructions are carefully written to be clear, to the point and easy to follow as each step is accompanied by detailed and colorful digital illustrations. And to make sure that everyone is confident in creating these amazing designs, BLAVERRY gives THE BEST customer support to include but not limited to: email, phone, facetime, and even online group support on facebook. Being a fresh young brand that is quickly growing, BLAVERRY is sure to be a household name.
What drew me to Blaverry, were her super chic designs. All her patterns have design elements in them that elevate the clothes from simple to stunning. Dressed in Blaverry designed clothes your kid will be, hands down, the best dressed at play group;)
I also love that her patterns go from size 2t (and sometimes 18 months) all the way up to 16 years! I have a 9-year-old daughter who is growing like a weed and the pattern choices are becoming quite slim for her size. Not only do they go up in size, they can be styled so they really do appeal to the teen and tween set. No small feat!
For example, the Ellis jacket pictured above looks very grown up in a snake skin print–my tween would be over the moon for it!–but if it was done in, say, army green canvas with playful neon green zippers then it would be a stylish everyday jacket for any age! And I would love to make this pattern in a sherpa/leather combo for fall.
I mentioned that this shop was brand new, but it is really really new. The grand opening was just this week! Susie had a vision for a shop that stocked fashion forward PDF patterns for kids and teens. She has spent the last year building a brand, designing and testing patterns, and creating a home for them on the web. And she does all of this out of her 210 sq. ft. tiny home on an island off the coast of Florida. Can you believe it?!
To celebrate the grand opening she is having a site-wide sale until Monday April 20 (the first day of KCW). Go check it out! There are so many fantastic patterns to choose from. Susie has generously offered to giveaway 4 Blaverry PDF patterns to one lucky winner. If you go on a little shopping spree and end up winning the giveaway, don’t worry you will be refunded.
Use the Rafflecopter widget below to enter by Wednesday, April 22. This giveaway is open to international entries, void where prohibited by law. One winner will receive 4 Blaverry PDF patterns of their choice.
Good luck and Happy KCW!
