JULY 2014: contributors

I’m am so happy to announce the amazing new group of contributors we have this season. No, they are not little dancing ice cream cones, but talented women who love to sew.

KCW contributors: JULY 2014

 1. Sophie 2. Shelley 3. Kristi 4. Julie

So many of you applied to be contributors for this season, it was especially hard to choose. But I think we’ve got an extra good bunch.

KCW contributor: Sophie

1. celestial tee 2. sally dress 3. knight hoodie

First up is Sophie. Sophie lives in France and teaches French. She only learned how to sew 2 years go, but obviously has quite a talent for it. She not only sews clothes for her 2 children, but also for herself and quilts too! Sophie blogs at C’est la Vie.

KCW contributor: shelley

1. hopscotch dress 2. evil knievel costume 3. field trip raglan

When Shelley started Bartacks and Singletrack she couldn’t even bear to use the verb “to blog.” But now she blogs there and here too! And not only does she blog, but she sews quite nicely too. Do you see that 100% homemade Evil Knievel costume up there! I mean, come on! Shelley lives in Australia and will be sewing for  winter, while we sweat it out up here in the northern hemisphere.

KCW contributor: kristin

1. seven 2. tunic and leggings 3. rainbow ruffle dress

Kristi’s blog Sweet KM was new to me, but I feel in love with it immediately! She sew gorgeous, modern, easy to wear clothes for her kids (and herself!). Then she photographs them beautifully. Kristin is also an avid knitter (she sells her patterns here) and a gardener as well. Seems there is nothing she can’t do!

KCW contributor: julie

1. persimmon tunic 2. spring showers jacket 3. celestial tee

Last, but certainly not least is Julie from Our Chez Nous. Julie makes absolutely beautiful clothes for her three children. I love all the bright colors she sews with–and she has a great eye for prints too! Julie lives in Canada, where I think it gets warm enough to call summer:)

You are certainly in for some KCW inspiration from all these women. You won’t be able to keep yourself from planning and fabric shopping and sewing for KCW!
