kcw: day three

Today is the third day of Kid’s Clothes Week and the project pool is practically overflowing already! You guys are making amazing things. I have to say, the boys really pulled to the head of the pack today. The idea that boys’ clothes are boring to sew is finally dead in the water. WooHoo! Just look at those stylish and well made duds up there: upcycled t-shirts, rugged dungarees, corduroy hoodies! Ok, that last one might be for a girl, but switch out the lining and any boy would look handsome in it.

The prints and materials being used are blowing me away this season too. Celina’s mix of stripes and plaid and lace is crazy beautiful. And I’m smitten with the two pairs of leather booties that Lisa made. Go check out all the projects in the kcw community!  Dorie added the ability to comment on and favorite projects for this season. You can view all of your favorites on your dashboard. So go and tell everyone how amazing they are.

What a sweet surprise to see my little tee featured! Thanks Meg! Sewing is such a solitary thing and it’s great to be a part of an amazing group of crafters sewing up a storm all over the world.

  2. Lisa

Wow! Hi from one WI girl to another, and thank you so very much for featuring my hoodie and mocs! To the previous poster who asked about the shoes, I’ll try to put more detailed pics on my project page if you want to replicate them. I don’t have a blog, so no handy tutorial or anything. Totally useless, I know 🙂

Just noticed I got mail, but wanted to thank you guys here as well for the prize, so… thanks so much! 🙂 No more reasons for me to not sew. Still working on finishing shirt #1, I’m a slow KCWer… 😉
