I love this challenge, and I will be joining in again this time. Could I ask a hu-u-u-u-ge favour? I’m from Australia, so it’s Autumn here, not Spring. Would it be possible to have a special button for those of us Down Under? I’ve always used the generic button and would like to use one with a seasonal theme.

I’ve always wanted to do this but have always been afraid to try and fail, however the point is just to sew and learn, right?! So I’m in. My littlest girl loves skirts and doesn’t have many, so it sounds like skirt week to me!

Yay!! Love the new format, and the website– recognition of the community that’s grown around this challenge. I’m going to be out of town for the spring week, but look forward to sewing along this summer.

Give me an excuse to get into my studio, get down to business, (i’ll make an agreement to be friendly to my machines in return they must work) and be more productive anytime! :)

I am in, too. I’ve never gotten it together before. Once the kids are in bed, I run out if gas. I need to sew during nap times, and enlist my husband into handling dinner and bedtime once or twice. Thanks!

LETS DO THIS!! If anyone is interested, I always post more of my sewing on Instagram & I love following all kinds of different seamstresses to get that “behind the scenes” feel. If you’d like to follow me, my name is LOVEXXMAE ! Thanks and can’t wait to see what everyone is creating!!

I’m over-committed already, but I want to squeeze KCW in somehow. My daughter needs tops and shorts. I’ve got some ideas for the tops (rub offs, grading up the too-small T for Two pattern we have, getting Rae’s Flashback Tee for Big Kids. What I need is a good shorts pattern. Anyone have any suggestions for functional, basic shorts appropriate for an 8 year old girl? Nothing too frilly… she’s going to climb trees and rocks and practice walkovers in these.
    Thanks!

Lets do it. Just looking not many males participating. Ohhh well just have to be in the minority sometimes. Are their any other males out there who are going to participate?

Count me in! This will be my first time — this time last year I was swamped with brand new mamahood, in the fall I was about to move cross-country — now, this spring I can’t wait to sew a ton for my 14 month old daughter! :)

I’m truly enjoying the design and layout of your blog. It’s a very easy on the eyes which makes it much more pleasant for me to come here and visit more often. Did you hire out a developer to create your theme? Outstanding work!

I’m a first timer here on this blog and with this challenge! I’m quite excited! My daughter needs a few new items to see her through winter here in Australia! This is the wonderful kick up the butt that I needed :)

I’ve not joined in the last couple of these and despite the house being over run with builders, electricians and plumbers I’m going to attempt to make something for at least one of my 3! I have cut a pair of Treasure Pocket Pants this morning…

Hi, I am joining in! I do make kids clothes clothes but haven’t made any for some months now. Am knitting a pirate jumper but that doesn’t count! Have just bought some cool Blank Slate Patterns so watch out for the cool coastal cargos coming up!

I’m in! I just planned everything out, washed some more new fabric and started tracing pattern pieces since my daughter has grown so much over the winter. Hopefully I can finish that and start cutting everything out tonight. Thanks for the incentive to do some sewing for my girl!

First timer…somehow I missed that we needed to signup here but I was able to get 1 pair of shorts done for my boy and 2 are so close to being finished! I am hoping to finish during nap time today. Thanks for the challenge!
